It has come to our attention that some tax software vendors have been notifying tax practitioners that electronic filing of IRS extensions and payments will not be available after May 17th even for those in disaster areas. We are continuing our advocacy efforts is this area but wanted to ensure you were aware of the issues surrounding the software extension filing issue.
