Our July 17th session will feature Les Nettleton who will give us an update on the latest information regarding Cybersecurity issues and techniques, including the IRS’s latest update on “WISP” — Written Information Security Plan as promulgated in IRS Publication 5708 — a template that was updated to help protect tax practitioners and their clients from identity thieves.Non-CPA staff, student, and candidate affiliates are invited to attend at the member rate (free).

In this engaging session, Stephen Vekovius reflects on his journey of building and ultimately selling his business, sharing key takeaways on planning, valuation, and navigating the transition. Drawing from that experience, he shifts focus to the future of professional services, exploring how artificial intelligence is transforming the accounting landscape. Stephen will highlight AI’s growing impact on efficiency, automation, and decision-making in accounting today.
