Shreveport Chapter: Shreveport Forward: A Vision for Our City’s Future

Overview

Shreveport Forward is a community-led initiative developed by Thomas Moran that seeks to create a shared vision for Shreveport’s future. The initiative brings together residents, business leaders, educators, and civic stakeholders to identify the city’s strengths, address community challenges, and develop guiding principles for long-term growth and revitalization.
 
During this presentation, Prof. Moran will discuss the origins and goals of Shreveport Forward, the concept of establishing “North Stars” to guide community decision-making, and current efforts related to economic development, neighborhood revitalization, housing, civic identity, and creating a stronger sense of place throughout Shreveport. Attendees will gain insight into how community collaboration can help shape the city’s future and support sustainable growth.
