Controller – Small Business – Warehouse District, New Orleans

Dixie Mill Supply Co., a small business (5-10mil yearly gross), seeks a hands-on Controller to manage financial operations and guide financial health. The Controller will handle daily accounting activities, financial reporting, and budgeting processes. You will serve as a key advisor to leadership, bringing order, clarity, and foresight to our financial operations while maintaining the heart of the over 100-year-old business.

Key Responsibilities ·       Oversee all financial accounting, month-end/year-end closing, and         reporting.

·       Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and         job-costing. · Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial

regulations. ·       Coordinate tax preparation with external CPAs. ·       Implement controls to safeguard company assets and improve         operational efficiency. · Manage payroll, accounts payable (A/P), and accounts receivable

(A/R).

Qualifications ·       Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA         preferred).

·       5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a         small-to-medium business or closely held company.

·       Proficiency with accounting software and advanced MS Excel. ·       Strong interpersonal skills to navigate the enterprise with         diplomacy and discretion.
